The club's AGM was held in the Woodpecker Bar, Lanark on Wednesday 17th February with an excellent turnout of 22 members. In the absence of the 2015/16 president - Colin Mackie -vice president Fergus Carlyle welcomed everyone to the meeting and gave a brief report at very short notice for the past 12 months which included a summary of the programmed walks for the year. Fergus was duly installed as president for the coming year with Anne Aitchison as Vice President. Congratulations to both of them. The remaining posts were as the previous year.
The retained funds for the year still show a healthy balance and it was agreed to maintain the annual subscription at £25. It was pointed out by Booking Convener, Dougie Wilson, that it is essential to retain enough funds to cover payment for weekends away as most bunkhouses now require a substantial deposit upfront to confirm a booking.
